Fund Management & Research Team

Our research team is independent from portfolio managers within the Fund Management Division. Each member of the team is well-grounded in research methodology and devotes themselves to conducting in-depth fundamental research. They have autonomous function to propose and discuss investment opportunities with portfolio managers. Together, our research analysts and portfolio managers actively discuss, evaluate and communicate market events and investment opinions within the team to seek the best performance in the portfolio for our clients.

We believe company visits are important components of our bottom-up research process, and are indispensable as a primary source for our fundamental analysis. We seek to find any gaps or deviations from the market consensus through direct access to company management, industrial data, fixed point observation, etc., that are only available through company visits.
Our analysts and fund managers held over 9,000 company management meetings over the last year (for Japanese equities), including on-site visits, IR and seminars as well as inviting the companies to visit our office.
